Job Description
Term (1-year) and, where feasible, include intermittent support to meet unplanned needs that develop on a frequent basis. Sub factor: The contractor shall rotate into other duty sections as needed to support patient care. Factor 4: Professional Nursing Skills: 2 years or more OR experience; ASPAN member a plus. Sub factor: Associate RN Degree, Minimum Sub factor: Circulating role for General Surgery, ENT, Ortho, Oral Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedic, Podiatry, Urology, Pedi Dental and Endoscopy; scrubbing role skills a plus. Sub factor: Familiar with the ASPAN standards, Infection Control, Safety and Joint Commission standards. Sub factor: Ability to function for a schedule surgical and emergency procedure. Sub factor: Ability to work with Electronic Health Record & Barcode Medication Administration Scanners Sub factor: Able to float to other departments upon completion of a float competency skills checklist. Sub factor: Ability & knowledge to learn the different types of equipment.
Requirements
Contractor shall provide evidence of the following:
- MMR (measles, Mumps, and Rubella),
- Immunity to Hepatitis A and B
- Flu Shot – History of chicken pox disease of positive titer
- Tetanus Diphtheria (Td) within the last 5 years
- Documentation of receiving a TB skin test (PPD) within the past 12 months with documentation of follow-up for a positive test.
- A signed declination of the Hepatitis B vaccination series shall be accepted.
